Week 6 came upon us with a few more presentations to be finished. Miss Amreet had taught us the Grammar and Style in Writing for the Web. We were also to hand in our next assignment which was the web advertisement for our Diploma in English programme here in UPSI. We were to do it in pairs and I paired up with Marnya who to me is an expert in this thing. We decided to do a GIF rather than doing a POWTOON or a website like most of the classmates did. Our rational was that doing a POWTOON was more like a presentation, though I have seen some of those made and they did look like an advertisement, and doing an advertisement on wix.com was more towards the next assignment which is to create a web homepage for a business. We wanted to differentiate the two assignments; therefore we did a GIF as a web banner that we usually see on websites. In our opinion, doing a banner is a web advertisement. We designed and made the GIF on Photoshop.
